I Hate Ticks
I am soooooooo tired. We just returned from Harmonie State Park, which is a little farther away than our usual weekend sojourns. By the time we had camp set up and supper cooked Friday night it was almost 9. Hiked five miles Saturday morning and found one geocache.
Saturday afternoon we walked around the little antique town of New Harmony, which was very pleasant in the usual way of little antique towns. Among all the same-old shops and such were some really beautifully maintained old houses.
Still, we made it back to camp with plenty of time to hunt for the last two Harmonie State Park geocaches. And for the very first time ever, we found someone else searching for the same geocache at the same time! That’s a bit startling in the middle of the woods. They call themselves the Hobo Army but they are really a very nice young man and a very nice young woman in very immaculate clothing. Somehow, when I’ve been wallowing around in the underbrush, I always manage to look like I’ve been wallowing around in the underbrush. Did I mention Harmonie State Park may be the most tick-infested place on Earth?
I think Famous Amos cookies have narcotics in them. That is the only explanation I can think of for why they taste So Good and why I Can’t Stop eating them until they are ALL GONE.
