Still My Day Off

I’m pretty envious of Caroline’s sock yarn. I didn’t buy any yarn today, but I did buy two more sets of #2 needles in case I need to work on more than one sock at a time. (Not from the same yarn of course.)

from Schoeller Mexico Disco #9053 “Yucatan.” Can you tell it’s sparkly? I probably shouldn’t admit this, but yarn manufacturers, all you have to do is put some glitter in the sock yarn and my money is YOURS. I have some metallic sewing thread around here somewhere. I wonder what would happen if I carried it along with some of my other sock yarn? Hmmmm.

That bit of scrap yarn hanging down is the line I’m going to pick out and put therein an afterthought heel. I haven’t done an afterthought heel with self-striping sock yarn and I’m looking forward to the bulls-eye effect. I may have to always use one for the stripes.

It occurred to me I was neglecting the nieces. My Crazy Sister (who is also lovely -- also crazy) has two kids, Tabi and Sharyn
