Fall Is For Knitting (Just Like Every Other Time)
Fall 2005 Interweave Knits arrived this week. Not too much to thrill me, but I was tickled by this

because it is just what I have always had in mind for this

vintage wool that I got at an auction. Last year? Two years ago? Can't remember, but it was So Hot that day -- I got such a sunburn. I really was a Genuine Redneck Girl for days. But I saw this yarn from across the old lady's back yard and Fell In Love. I think I paid a dollar for it. You can't see the label in that pic to read the color name. It's called "absinthe." Can you stand it? God, I love this yarn. I love this yarn so much I don't ever have to make anything out of it, I love it just for itself.
Sigh.
Ready for some more fall mags. Keep 'em coming.

bonne marie would love that yarn too. ;)
i can picture you in a screaming loud absinthe vest. didn't you think that vest was a little oddly short tho? not sure it'd even cover my waist at that length...
