The Date Is Set…
…For the Faina Knitalong. I’m mostly ready

still looking for needles. I chose Louet Euroflax Original in color #2484 Aqua from my stash. I bought this yarn over a year ago with the idea of making washcloths, but it never felt to me like it wanted to be washcloths. I guess it wanted to be Faina. Very wise and sophisticated yarn, I think. I can’t remember how long I’ve had this pattern. Long enough that I’ve forgotten where I bought it, though it might have been Mass Ave Knits in Indianapolis. No, wait, that is where I bought the yarn. Maybe I got this pattern at Stitches?
Meanwhile, the Cascade 220 that wanted to be a Faux-Who Scarf is Very Happy Indeed.

I’m closing in on halfway done. I bought that bin from one of those catalogs kids are always bringing round for fundraisers for school or activities. (I think this particular one was Dance Camp, or something.) Not only is it collapsible when not in use and handy for taking Who up to the Computer Room and down to the TV room, it is color-coordinated with this particular project.
Also got a good bit done on Jenny this weekend before my left arm started to bother me too bad. I thought maybe since I’d been working out, my joints might feel looser, but I don’t see it yet. I do think my muscle tone is improving, so I can beat up any Who fans who make fun of my scarf.

That linen yarn looks gorgeous! I can't wait to see it knit up. I have to go get mine would by the nice lady at the yarn store.
With Who scarves, it's the thought that counts, not the pattern accuracy. Just say you were attacked by a Dalek who shot your pattern and had to improvise! I grew up on Doctor Who.
