It Is So Dry Here…
…The deer are venturing out of the woods to drink from our pond in the broad daylight. My camera is not good enough to get a pic from the house, unfortunately. And if I open the door they run away. Rain is in the forecast all next week, though; we’re crossing our fingers.
Scandal! Helena is a BOY. I specifically told my sister I wanted a female cat and it didn’t even occur to me to check when I went and picked the beast up. Then, the other day, I was playing with it and it flopped on its back and, UH OH, the truth was known. Said my husband when I gave him the news: “Good thing we named it Bob.” Fooled him, though. The cat’s name is now Jack.
Went camping this weekend to a new place, Horseshoe Lake, very nice. Got about twenty mosquito bites (West Nile, anyone?) and hiked a lot and ate even more. Read a book that made no sense (sequel to a book I read earlier this week that also made no sense,) finished the back of Jenny and started a sleeve. Maybe some pics on Tuesday. Going to be busy tomorrow.
