Today, I Hate Knitting
My Charlotte came out too small. It is not a shawl; it is a “shawlette.” I blocked it till it wouldn’t block no more and now I’m ticked. My last lace project was the same way. I can’t seem to get gauge with lace. I’ve tried everything. What am I supposed to do, knit every lace project on #17 needles? Is this what I’ve been driven to? How about no more lace, huh? How about THAT, Knitting Gods? Huh? Well?
Had to rip back to the beginning of the armhole shaping on Jenny. Lost a decrease on the edge somewhere on the Very First Row. And now my wrists and elbows hurt from Knitting and Ripping cotton all day yesterday. Which is FINE, because I don’t want to knit ANYWAY.
And how come I can’t buy the yarn I want? Why is it that when I want to buy yarn for a new project, there is NEVER a Single Yarn that comes in ALL the colors I need? Why is this? And if they do, the stores don’t carry every color. Do the Knitting Gods not know that I don’t have a yarn store within 50 miles of me and buying yarn for ONE project from THREE different stores on-line costs a LOT OF MONEY IN SHIPPING?
They just don’t care, do they?
