My mother-in-law and her husband are moving, which is why various Interesting Things keep finding their way into my house. Some are more interesting than others, including little bits like these



made over the years by women in my husband’s family, including his beloved grandmother, the same grandmother whose name we are passing on to our child. His mom tells me that the blue ones on the left were actually his; he wore them when he was an infant. They are all knitted, except these



which are crocheted. I like the fuzzy pink space boots best of all; I am thinking of reverse engineering them and making a couple pairs for our kid. If I get a pattern worked up, I’ll post it.
