Simply Irrational Weather

Maybe it's just me, but isn't it completely unnatural for someone to walk two blocks from her office to the post office and experience Four Different Weathers? That is, raining, clear and hot, sunny, clear and cold. One right after the other. In the space of TWO BLOCKS.

Weather camping this weekend was good but I didn't get as much biking done as I would have liked. Also I missed watching the Tour de France. Made some more squares for this

though I am not sure what my grand total is now. Maybe 20? This is my first project from Candy Tots. The original is done in Kureyon, which is why it so wildly beautiful. I can't see making a coat for my kid that I can't wash in the washer, though, so I'm doing mine in Red Heart. I'm fairly certain that my kid is going to get dirty now and then.

The crocheting has been killing my arms lately, so I switched on some knitting. A pair of basic socks in self-striping yarn for my mother-in-law for Christmas. Also this

The Nancy Bush Traveler's Pocket from Interweave Knits. Source of that image is IWK, BTW, because I only have about 6 rows done so mine looks like nothing yet. I'm doing it just as pictured with the kit I picked up at Stitches two (three?) years ago. I bought this kit for myself, then sat on it forever. When I drew my sister-in-law's name for Christmas this year, though, I realized this would be a great gift for her so I got it out again. Then, when I was straightening up my projects basket, I looked it over again and realized it was a great Passage to India project. Now, I don't know if I'm going to get it done in time, I'm going so slow, but maybe I will. Hope so.
