There Is A Vulture
sitting out in my front yard for No Reason. And it is freaking me out. I'd take a picture, but I've decided not to let it know I see it.
Meanwhile, here's my astounding progress on the Traveler's Pocket

(Did I say I had decided to do something else for my Passage Project? Well, I changed my mind back.)
This has been the Pokiest Project Ever. This yarn is a nightmare. Actually, that is wrong. I like this yarn - Lanaknits Allhemp 6 - and it makes lovely fabric; the nightmare is taking this DK-weight hemp and cramming it onto #3 needles for a gauge of 7 sts per inch. I can only do about four rows before my wrists and hands start screaming and I have to change to something else.
Thankfully, I have plenty of things going on. Still making pink squares for the little coat. When Brando and I start our crochet projects, I will have that one, too. Also my mom-in-law's socks (pair #1 of 3 I have planned for Christmas present.) And Lolita, KTC book August, will be coming up in a week or so; I already have a project in mind for that. And I want to start a new shawl. Indicators point to my attendance at THIS EVENT and I would like to have a shawl for it. Something warm in case it is cold (October!) and something durable in case I wish to put it on the ground and sit upon it (in addition to festival-ing, we will be camping.) I haven't found what I'm looking for yet, but I have no doubt it is out there.

Is this the "vacation"? I am always the last to know!
