Faster Than A Speeding Bullet

the Metropolis library delivered to me The Time Traveler’s Wife for Knit the Classics September. I’m being ironic; the truth is, when you request an interlibrary loan from the Metropolis library, they don’t seem to get in too big a hurry. However, they were the people who had the book on tape to borrow. I realized after I had decided I didn’t have time to read this book that I have time in my car to listen to it. I like nonfiction books on tape, but so far I’m not crazy about fiction on tape. I’m enjoying the story, but I think I would be enjoying it more if I were reading it. It’s abridged, too, which is not so hot, but the unabridged copy was Not Available For Interlibrary Loan.

Since Time Traveler’s Wife is September’s book, I’m not starting my TTW project until September 1, so, even though I know what I am going to make, it still looks like this

Like the Traveler’s Pocket, this project is a little detailed; once again, I hope I finish in time.

Right now, I’m making socks

Two co-ordinating pair to be gifted to my husband’s stepmother for Christmas. Both are from Knitpicks sock yarn. The striped ones are just plain no pattern, although I did use the Sherman heel that Ali recommended and it is GREAT. The lace ones are the Hedera pattern from Knitty.

Last ball (hopefully) of Kureyon arrived this week for the Jenny shawl. Hope to be done soon!

I have a pair of socks just like that... And they wear REALLY well too. Glad you liked the heel.

What's the TTW project? Like the greeny colour yarn for it.

I just realized, this pic makes the green Koigu look like it has blue in it but it doesn't: it is all greens.
