Satire Ain't Easy
I've discussed Northanger Abbey -- Jane Austen's quintessential satire of the Gothic romance -- here before.
I was looking up Jane Austen links for next month's KTC selection recently when I found this way cool Jane Austen site, and, within, this hilarious bit

a totally dead serious and wildly ironic 1964 cover of Northanger Abbey.
I wish Jane Austen could have been alive to see it. She would have died.

Teehee. The cover says it's "A Paperback Library Gothic." Wow.
That's fabulous :)!I must check out that site! I love that it's a "paperback library gothic", too!
:)
Thanks for the JA link. The paperback pic is great - gave me a good laugh!
